VIVA CLASSICAL !! ~ THE ACT

As the name suggests, the act is rooted firmly in the popular world of opera classics, but has a unique twist in that it abounds with an abundance of fantastic audience participation and an oversized helping of fun and spontaneity.

Knocking the "stuffiness" out of classical music in order to make it accessible to all ages and demographics, the act is best described in polite circles as "Opera With A Sense Of Humour" or as we like to say when we are amongst close friends, "A Kick Up The Arias !"

If you haven't seen the act before, you might be mistaken for thinking that it's just two guys standing around singing a few opera songs….. WRONG !!! WRONG !!! WRONG !!!

is so much more. It's unique take on opera and pop classics means that it is all about the fun, the humour, the pace, the spontaneity, the audience participation, the surprise, the energy, the buzz, the reaction … oh and yes… the unbelievably spectacular voices of both of the guys.

With the show there is no reliance on "hoaxing" to win over your audience, unlike other singing acts who pretend to be waiters, chefs or even other party guests in order to create a big "reveal" for surprise or comic effect.

The only "reveal" you get with comes as no surprise, as it is our performer's innate singing talent and comedic ability to turn your function into a truly memorable occasion.

THE VIVA CLASSICAL ! PERFORMANCE

***Please Note: The description that follows is of necessity the "bare bones" of the performance. We hope you will appreciate that on such an open forum as this web site, we have done this in order to protect the integrity and copyright of the act, by not giving away all the secrets and surprises !!!

Following an announcement to introduce the guys will burst into your function and surprise your guests, instantly charging the room with their exciting and fun filled personalities. You will feel the room energise and bristle as they sing their first dazzling operatic aria with a stunning close harmony that will grab your guest's attention right from the outset.

At the end of this number, and with brief introductions out of the way, the Viva guys will begin "working the tables" to be in close proximity with your guests. Their infectious good nature is such that the audience will be swept along by their enthusiasm and, before you can say "Pavarotti", they will be joining in with the Viva guys and singing along, as they seamlessly enter the sumptuous world of Carmen for their next stirring rendition.

Following this inspirational aria, and with the ice well and truly broken, the Viva guys take a brief moment to enjoy some often hysterical, spontaneous humour by chatting with members of the audience. Followed shortly thereafter by a change of style and pace, they perform in a completely different genre a famous chart topper from the world of pop. Not only does this demonstrate their vocal dexterity but again incorporates the opportunity for great audience participation and presents a truly wonderful "Kodak" moment !

With the act now firing on all cylinders, your guests will enjoy another helping of fresh comic banter, before the Viva guys launch into a fabulous, high energy routine that accompanies yet another ever popular toe tapping opera classic.

With both the audience and the Viva guys suitably fired up, they will conclude their act with the appropriate message of goodwill to the client or host of the event, before a strikingly beautiful rendition of the massive West Life anthem "You Raise Me Up", or if preferred, the world's most famous operatic aria "Nessun Dorma" ~ either of which will have your audience on their feet in appreciation at the Viva guys' truly inspirational voices.

Followed immediately by a lively musical play off, the Viva guys say their goodbyes and exit, leaving your audience awed and the room buzzing !
